We all know how important your social media presence is on LinkedIn, especially if you are a B2B organisation. But what if you only have a smattering of followers on your company page?
Here are 10 ways to grow your LinkedIn followers.
Share engaging content that people want to see – think of video, infographics, hand-drawn diagrams, memes, useful blogs that will help them in their day job.
Engage everyone throughout your organisation – tell them how valuable it is and the impact ie greater reach / greater brand awareness. Ask employees to follow your company page.
Ask everyone to send company page follow requests to their network. Make your BDMs admin of your company page for this purpose (but train them how to use this correctly).
Run engagement ads on linkedIn such as customer case studies (these include a follow our page icon and link).
Connect with all your suppliers, partners, clients and ask them to follow you.
Set yourself a quarterly target – don’t go overboard. It needs to be achievable. A sensible but stretching target could be, add a 1,000 followers in one year eg 250 a quarter.
Set increased company page followers as a marketing KPI to achieve / part of their bonus plans.
Promote your social media icons on your homepage, through your marketing materials and your recruitment ads.
Use your newsletter to promote your LinkedIn profile and examples of content.
Ask senior management, customer facing staff and BDMs to add to their email signature a ‘follow me on LinkedIn’ link.
Growing your followers on LinkedIn is relatively straightforward if you follow the above tips.
